I’m Esteban Clark-Braendle I’m a Michigan based photographer that specializes in politics and news.
My work has taken me across the state of Michigan, photographing stories from Houghton to Detroit. I got my start working as the campaign photographer for Tudor Dixon in her 2022 run for Governor. In that campaign I got an inside view of state politics, and had photos featured in local and national outlets like Newsweek, WEMU, WCMU, and The Midwesterner.
After the 2022 campaign, I pursued personal projects and began covering the battery plant controversy in Big Rapids. In my time in Big Rapids I’ve taken hundreds of photographs, many of them at emotionally heated public board meetings. What I’ve learned from those experiences is that I love people and telling their stories.
